OBITUARY:
MILDRED NORMA FISH, Chelsea, Mich. – Age 73, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996, in her home. She was born on Feb. 23, 1923, in Casco township, Saint Clair county, the daughter of Adolph Ronald Petsch and Dolly Ruth Leffler.
Mrs. Fish had lived in Chelsea since 1942. She was a member of Mount Hope Bible Church in Grass Lake, VFW Aux. #4076 (where she served as chaplain), Chelsea Senior Citizens, and was a former member of the Kitchen Band.
She married Lewis J. Fish in Detroit on Aug. 14, 1942, and he preceded her in death May 12, 1981.
Survivors include one son, James A. Fish, of Jackson; four daughters, Ruth E. Nutt of Chelsea, Shiela J. Adams of Ann Arbor, May E. Garner of Dallas, Texas, and Gloria J. Marion of Saline; one sister, Marilyn M. McAtee of Grass Lake; six brothers, William E. Petsch of Prudenville, Roy N. Petsch of Ann Arbor, Ellsworth Petsch of Chelsea, Frederick Petsch of Chelsea, Donald J. Petsch of Ypsilanti, and David H. Petsch of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty J. R. Schalk and Emily M. Petsch; and two brothers, Adolph R. Petsch Jr., and McArthur James Petsch.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastors Joseph O'Neill and Don Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Vermont Cemetery in Sylvan township. Memorial contributions may be made to Individualized Hospice.
