Miss Ellen Corner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Corner of Blue Hill, became the bride of Pierce Carter Jones, son of Pierce Jones, sr., of Blue Hill, at the home of the bride's parent, Oct. 24 at 7 p. m. Rev. R. H. Carr performed the ceremony beneath a canopy and background of autumn colors in brown, green and gold. Fall garden flowers were in baskets. Only immediate relatives and Mrs. R. H. Carr and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams of Lincoln witnessed the wedding. Mrs. Morrison McConkey of Lincoln played the wedding music. The bride chose brocaded brown crepe for her gown, which had rhinestone ornaments at the neckline, and belt. She wore a gold bracelet, which her mother had worn at her own wedding. She carried golden chrysanthemums, as did her attendant, Miss DeEtta Corner, who wore a dress of green silk crepe with green sandals. James Corner served as best man. A reception was held following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Morrison McConkey and son, Richard, of Lincoln, were out of town relatives present. The bride has attended the University of Nebraska and Hastings college. Mr. Jones is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. They will live in Blue Hill.
