Samuel McKibben, 81 Dies at His Home in Zearing Late Sunday

Samuel Everett McKibben, 81 died at his hme [home] in Zearing at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

He was a lifetime resident of the Earlham community and had lived in Zearing the last two years. He was retired after many years of farming at Earlham.

McKibben is survived by his wife, Hattie, Zearing, and two daughters, Mrs. Eva Price, Marshalltown, and Mrs. William Brown, Sr. of Zearing; and one brother H. C. McKibben of Earlham; three sisters, Miss Meta (Neita) McKibben of Earlham, Mrs. Myrtle Ransy (Ramsey) of Waukee and Mrs. Bene (Dene) Armstrong of Earlham; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing. The Rev. Phillip Sharp of the Christian Church will be in charge. Burial will be in the Zearing cemetery.
