Born in Adams county, he was a son of the late Millard E. and Ella Miller Basehoar. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Presbyterian church of Princeville. He also was a member of the Radnor Grange and a charter member of the Princeville Lions.
He is survived by his wife Laura, four sons, C.M. Basehoar, Littlestown; G, Robert Basehoar, Edelston, IL; Frederick Basehoar and Ronald Basehoar of Princeville; two daughters, Sharon Kiefer and Cynthia Miller also of Princeville; 16 grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is also survived by a sister, Grace Palmer, Hanover.
