Charles B. Allred was the son of Mahlon and Sarah Jane (Nye) Allred. He was born September 26, 1877 in Monroe, Iowa. He was married to Iva Florence Stech.

Allred Rites Set Tomorrow

Funeral services for Charles B. Allred, 87, who died Sunday at Bernath's Nursing Home, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Evenson Chapel with the Rev. Paul Nance officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery. Mr. Allred had lived in the valley 60 years.

Born in Wayne county, Iowa, Sept. 26, 1877, Mr. Allred married Iva Steck, Oct. 3, 1903 in Corydon, Iowa and they came here in 1905. They operated the Sunnyside Dairy until 1927 and farmed until retirement in 1952. They lived on East Capitol Ave. for 45 years. Mrs. Allred died in 1963 and for the past year Mr. Allred lived with his son at 900 Cascade Way. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lloyd M. Allred, Walla Walla and Harry Allred, Ellensburg, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Mattie Crawford of Everett.
