Raymond Myers Rites Announced
Greenwood - Funeral services for Raymond C. Myers are to conducted Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock and will be in the J.C. Wilson Funeral Home.
The Rev. Richard Burton, pastor of the Greenwood Christian church, will be in charge of the services and burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery with Masonic rites.
Friendsmay call at the funeral home Saturday night and after 10 o'clcok Sunday. They are invited to attend the rites.
Died Friday
Mr. Myers had been in failing health since April and died in the West Tenth Street Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis about 9:15 o'clock Friday morning.
He was born on the family farm three and one-half miles northwest of Greenwood on Oct. 21, 1895, and his parents were the late Frank and Mary Kinnick Myers.
Mr. Myers had spent his entire life on the farm where he was born and had also been an auctioneer. He was well-known throughout Johnson county.
He was amember of the Greenwood Christian church for 46 years, a Mason, and veteran of World War I.
The survivors are a grandson, Kyle Myers, of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Opal McClain, of Indianapolis; a brother, Kenneth Myers, of Acton; and nieces and nephews.
A son died about eight years ago.
