Philomena Weintraut, 87, St. Paul, died Monday in Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.
Born on May 2, 1909, in Oldenburg, she was the daughter of Bernard and Bernadine (Puntt) Leising. On April 3, 1934, she was married Aldrich Weintraut, and he died April 18, 1950.
Mrs. Weintraut was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy, Oldenburg. She was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church.
She was a cook for 13 years at the St. Paul School.
Survivors include four sons, Thomas Weintraut, Shelbyville, Daniel Weintraut, St. Louis, Mo., David Weintraut, St. Paul, and Stephen Weintraut, Lafayette; one daughter, Rita Uebelhor, St. Paul; one sister, Alvina Leising, Oldenburg; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 4218 E. Michigan Road, with the Rev. Paul Landwerlen officiating.
Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
