One of Freemasonry's sacred rituals, the Scottish Rite ring service, will be conducted at 7:30 p. m. Sunday in Shawnee Methodist Church for the late Rev. David Gilderoy Hall, 95, retired Methodist minister.

The Rev. Mr. Hall, one of the township's oldest residents, died at 9:30 a. m. Friday in a Toledo hospital following a three-year illness.

The Sunday service will be conducted by Lima Scottish Rite Masons and will be in charge of George Winemiller. It is being conducted as a courtesy to the Scottish Rite Consistory, Valley of Fort Wayne.

Death of the Rev. Mr. Hall was the second with a month's time in his family. A brother, Isaac, 93, died July 17.

The minister served as a pastor of churches in Dayton, Forest, Kenton, Napoleon, Bryan, Tipp City and Degraff starting in 1894 and completing his 38 years' service in the Christian ministry 25 years ago.

He was a member of the Stokes Lodge No. 305, Free and Accepted Masons, Port Jefferson; Hicksville Chapter, 188, Royal Arch Mason, and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne.

A native of Shawnee Township, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Maurice Myers, Route 1, Lima, and Mrs. Walter Barger, Garden City, Long Island, N. Y.; two sons, Dr. John Hall, Kendallville, Ind., and David G. Hall, Arlington, Va.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in November 1954.

The body is to be removed from the Bayliff Funeral Home, Cridersville, to the residence, Route 1, Lima, at 10 a. m. Sunday, to remain until 4 p. m. Sunday. Then the body will be removed to the funeral home.

On Monday the body will be returned to Shawnee Church at noon for services at 2 p. m. The Rev. Robert Kimes, pastor, and the Rev. Vernon Van Buren, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.

The family suggests that those who wish may contribute to the Shawnee Methodist Church organ fund, in care of Everett Goodwin, 3320 Shawnee Road.
