Frances Ellen McClanahan, 93, of Rensselaer, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at St. Anthony Health Care in Lafayette.
She was born in Jasper County, Indiana to the late James E. And Maude Lowman Moore. On May 10, 1935, in Crown Point, she married Delos McClanahan, who preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1970.
She is survived by a son, Mick McClanahan (wife: Julie) of Rensselaer; a daughter, Gayla McClanahan of Lafayette; a sister, Helen Hahn of Rensselaer; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
