Mary Lou Crain Adkins, 79, of 4901 Crosscreek Lane, Greenville, widow of Walter W. Adkins, died March 31, 2003.
A native of Greenville County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Sallie Arms Crain, she was a retired nursing assistant for Allen Bennett Hospital and was a member of First Baptist Church in Greer.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Hyatt, of Tampa, Fla., and Linda Gardner, of Greenville; a son, Jim Adkins, of Greenville; one sister, Sue Sloan, of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Wilson Nelson. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 this evening at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of a daughter: Linda Gardner, 4901 Crosscreek Lane, Greenville.
