Gregory G. George, age 54, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at his home in Mechanicsburg. Born September 13, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN, he was a son of Glen and Jean (Mack) George of Indiana, PA.

Greg was a licensed pharmacist, working as the Director of Pharmacy in the Western Maryland Health System. He was a member of Tire Hill Church of the Brethren and also attended the Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren since moving to Mechanicsburg in 1993. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and also playing the trumpet in church as well as traveling and vacationing at the beach. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family as a loving husband and father.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela R. (Kniss) George; daughters, Jennifer R. (George) Harry and husband Peter of Altoona and Katharine E. George of Mechanicsburg; son, Michael G. George of Fairfax, VA; and his brothers, Bradley A. George of Alpharetta, GA and Jonathan C. George of Butler, PA. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, September 21 at Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren. Viewing will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m., at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place Wednesday in Maple Springs Cemetery, Davidsville, PA.
