Claimed by Death
D. C. (Doc) Cash, 62, farmer living six miles northwest of Davis, died in Wynnewood at 8 o'clock Saturday night.
His illness started with pneumonia, and he was in Wynnewood hospital two or three weeks. Having improved he was taken to the home of a son where he passed away.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist church of Davis, Rev. S. S. Walker of Wynnewood officiating. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery with Hutchins & Sons in charge.
Pallbearers were C. W. Grant, Ross Smith, W. S. Thompson, P. T. Francis, Joe West and John Chisolm.
Dolphus Calvin Cash was born in Joplin, Mo., April 5, 1883. He came to Davis when 11 years of age, and later moved to the Butterly Bros. farm where he lived 45 years. He was married to Lillie Merideth, Sept. 3, 1908. To this union were born nine children: Hubert, Reuben, Elva, Raymond, Thurman, Oleta, Carl, Mabel and D. C. Jr., all of Wynnewood. There are 13 grandchildren.
One sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
