Donna Jean Hyde was born December 17, 1926 in Powderly, Texas to Charles Delbert and Laura Edith (Jones) Gernand. She passed from this life September 17, 2009 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Donna loved spending time with her grandkids and she enjoyed cooking and taking care of her dogs and cats. Donna is preceded in death by her husband: Harry Hyde, Sr.; her parents: Charles & Laura Gernand; and a sister: Lorelei Curry. She is survived by a son: Harry Hyde, Jr. & wife Diane of Antlers; one daughter: Laura Thomas & husband Albert of Muskogee, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Steven Thomas, Marc Thomas, Neil Hyde, David Hyde, Dustin Calhoun, Beau Hyde, Krystal Hamilton, & Tiffany Chapman; great-grandchildren: Mark Thomas, Jacob Hartman, Samantha Harber, Dalton Adams, Alexis Hyde, Cain Hyde, Jace Hyde, Camden Calhoun, Jacob Hyde, & Kade Hyde; one brother: Charles Gernand & wife Mary Ellen of Antlers; and three sisters: Joann Head & husband Troy of Antlers, Jane Love of Loveland, Colorado, and Nadine Self of Hugo; numerous nieces & nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be graveside at 1 PM Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at Antlers City Cemetery.
