O. W. Cantrell Rites And Burial in Davis
Services were held Wednesday, August 4 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist church in Davis for Owen Willis Cantrell, age 77, who died at his home south of Davis on August 2nd. He had been in ill health for some time. Rev. K. M. Anderson officiated and burial was in Green Hill cemetery under the direction of the Bahner Funeral Home.
Survivors are his wife, Mary, of the home; also 6 sons, Willie of Corpus Christi; Owen of California; Lester of Ft. Worth; Jessie of Okla. City, J. T. of Yukon, and Joy of Okla. City; also one daughter, Mrs. John Hignight; a brothers, Bud Cantrell of Waurika; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Self, County Line, and Mrs. Mollie Baird of Napa, California; 36 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Cantrell was born in Parker county, Texas. He moved to Davis from Mt. View, Okla. In 1936 and had lived here since that time. He was a retired farmer.
