MRS. J. DEAN CRAIN
GRAY COURT - Ellen Wilson Crain, 99, of Old Laurens Road, Route 3, died Tuesday.
A native of the Highland community in upper Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late James and Jane Pennington Wilson. She attended Saluda Academy for Girls and was a member of Gray Court Baptist Church and the W.C.T.U.
She was the widow of Dr. J. Dean Crain, Pastor of Pendleton Street Baptist Church in Greenville for 22 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry J. Covington of Gray Court; a son, James Wilson Crain of Travelers Rest; and a foster son, Dr. J.N. Holtzclaw of Greenville.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home; burial in Springwood Cemetery.
Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
