Roy Lee Castles, 79, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, in Granbury.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Friday at Granbury Church of Christ. Interment: Long Creek Cemetery in Hood County.
Mr. Castles was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Fort Worth to P.V. Castles and Velma Mitchell Castles. He married Marolyn Clark on June 3, 1948, in Fort Worth. He was a retired inspector for Texas & Pacific Railway and also managed the Mott's Variety Store in Weatherford, Texas. He served on the Housing Authority Board in Weatherford and Granbury and served on the City Council in Weatherford for many years prior to moving to Granbury in 1979.
Survivors: Sons, Paul Castles and wife, Sherrie, of Corinth and Carl Castles and wife, Shelly, of Billings, Mont.; daughters, Janna Duty and husband, John, of Granbury and Judy Burbank and husband, Don, of Leesburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his fiancee, Colleen Beeson.
