Clyde Brigner

Clyde O. Brigner, 99, a former resident of RR 2, Fort Recovery, died Saturday evening at Briarwood Manor, Coldwater, where he had lived for the past seven years.

A graduate of Fort Recovery High School, he was a carpenter in the Fort Recovery area. He was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene of Fort Recovery.

Born October 5, 1893, in Fort Recovery, he was the son of John and Susan (Good) Brigner. He was married Dec. 27, 1919, in Portland, to Gertrude Wallace, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Eileen) West, Westminster, Colo.; two sons, Elvin Brigner, Fort Recovery, and Lee Brigner, Boone, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Orville (Erma) Albin and Esther VanTilburg, both of Celina; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. John Perkins and the Rev. Verl Ballmer officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church one hour prior to services Wednesday.
