Frances Irene Donald Scott was born June 3, 1936, to Morris Donald and Erma Hampton Donald in Kemper County, MS.
During her youth, she joined Beulah Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS. After reaching adulthood and marriage, she moved to Cleveland, OH, and attended the local church there.
On April 10, 1954, she married Leo Scott, the son of Tildon Scott and Louvenia "Venie" Murray Scott, who was also a native of Kemper County, MS, and they had six children. Together, they raised nine children, eight daughters and one son.
After moving back to DeKalb, MS, she rejoined Beulah Baptist Church and then later joined New Vision Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Dr. William C. Brown.
She died September 26, 2008, at the age of 72.
She was the Wife of Leo Scott; the Mother of Dianna Scott, Hazel Scott, Shirley Scott, Betty Scott Sivanick, Danette Scott, Sandra Scott, Martha Faye Scott Henderson, Tracia Scott Roberts, and Charles Reed; the Step Mother of Carrie Scott Pugh; the Daughter of Morris Donald and Erma Hampton Donald; the Sister of Lillie Purvis Donald Clay, Marcell Donald, L.C. Donald, Joe Louis Donald, Herman Lee Donald, Casandra Donald Rush, Gerald Donald, Tommy Donald, and Shirley Ann Donald Bohannon Prince Boler; the Paternal Granddaughter of James "Jim" Donald and Winnie Cullum Donald; and the Maternal Granddaughter of Elick "Mank" Hampton and Lillie Welch Hampton.
