GEORGIANA BARCUS
Mrs. Georgiana Barcus, 82, widow of Jacob Barcus, died at her home at 9 Sherman street, Dennison, last night at 11:30 of angina pectoris following an illness of five weeks.
A daughter of Elisha and Nancy Dunlap Cox, she was born on June 17, 1866. She had resided in Dennison for 25 years. Her husband Jacob died Nov. 18, 1948.
She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Edna Gunter and Mrs. Hattie Grey, of Mt. Vernon, Fred W. Barcus and Mrs. Hazel Hite, of Dennison, Frank A. Barcus, of Butler, O., Harry E. Barcus, of Scio, and Mrs. Paul Ferrell, of the home; 25 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, one daughter, Mrs. Lena Pinkering, one son, George Barcus, and two infants are deceased.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the R. K. Lindsey funeral home with the Rev. Charles Shaffter of the Church of God officiating. Burial will be made in Union cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home.
