Leonard Rowan Lawhorn, 58, died January 13, 1983 at 1:17 a.m. in a Fort Worth Hospital. He was born in Virginia, December 23, 1924 and had lived in Mineral Wells for 7 years. He married Demearise Rohr, January 2, 1941 in Hagerstown, Maryland. Lawhorn was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army. He worked as a paint contractor. Survivors are his wife, Demearise Lawhorn, Mineral Wells; four sons, James Lawhorn and Curtis Lawhorn, both of Mineral Wells, Gleonard Lawhorn and Raymond Lawhorn, both of Buena Vista, Virginia; two daughters, Frenchie Mullins and Pearl Lasley, both of Mineral Wells and eight grandchildren. One son, Leonard R. Lawhorn Jr. preceded him in death in 1944.
