DAVIDSON, Robert R. Age 85, of Riverside (Dayton), Ohio. Preceded in death by son, Mark and grandson, Kevin Davidson. Survived by wife of 62 years, Ruth (Jessie); sons, Gary (Martha) of Texas, Bradley (Susanne), Scott (Jill); daughter, Susan (Bob) Crothers; daughter- in-law, Karen; sisters- in-law, Maryanne Storck and Anna Shellabarger; brothers-in-law, Orville Gau and Ed Terhune; 14 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bob survived WWII serving in the European Theater Operations for the U. S. Army. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of Riverside and worked in the offices for the City of Dayton for 30 years. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 11:00 a.m., Friday (9/18) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Willow View Cemetery. Pastor Bob Iddings will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Bob to either Community UMC or Hospice of Dayton. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
