MIDLAND - David Earl Cathey, 69, died Friday Dec. 24, 2004.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with Jeremy Musgraves officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. in Amarillo.

Mr. Cathey was born May 30, 1935, in Skellytown to Earl and Emma Cathey. David resided in Midland for the last 30 years. He served in the Korean conflict in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from Rogers Ford in Midland.

He will always be loved and dearly missed by all of us.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.

Survivors include a sister, Barbara Musgraves and husband, E.D., of Amarillo; a brother, Richard Cathey of Amarillo; a daughter, Linda Williams and husband, Aaron, of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Callie Crafton and Kameron Peeks both of Amarillo; many loving nieces and nephews; his special friend, Becky Hopkins; and all of his friends in Midland.
