She was born July 24, 1952 at Saint Louis, Mo. the daughter of James L. and Janifer (Sells) Dorsey.
She attended grade schools in Saint Louis, Mo.; Charleston, N.C.; Savanah, Georgia and Boston, Mass., before graduating from high school in 1970 at Uniontown, Kan. She attended Fort Scott Community College at Fort Scott. Kan.; Murray State University at Murray, Ky., and Neosho County Community College in lola, Kan.
Sharon was a freelance artist and children's book illustrator. She especially enjoyed painting Native American Indians and animals.
She married Bruce Desselle, they later divorced. She later married Ralph DiBello, he passed away in May of 1981.
She is survived by a son, Matthew DiBello of Richmond, Kan.; her mother, Janifer Sells Dorsey of Richmond, Kan.; her father, James L. Dorsey and his wife Mary of Olathe, Kan.; a brother, Larry Dorsey and his wife Nancy of Altamont, Kan.; two sisters, Jetta Dorsey of Olathe, Kan., and Rebecca Dorsey of Richmond, Kan.; many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Jetta Sells and her husband, Ralph DiBello.
Graveside services and interment for Sharon Lee DiBello will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007 at the Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kan. Friends may call after 8 a.m Tuesday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S, Hickory, Ottawa, Kan.
