Gresham resident Glenda Jean Porter, 38, died Wednesday, Sept. 9.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 12, at Sandy Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, in Cambridge, Idaho.

Glenda was born July 4, 1971, in Arlington, Wash., to Leonard and Gertti (Fowler) Porter. The family lived in various areas throughout Oregon and settled in Cambridge, Idaho, in 1983. Glenda graduated from Cambridge High School, where she was active in volleyball, basketball and track. She attended Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, on a volleyball scholarship.

Glenda moved to Oregon about nine years ago and made her home in Gresham. She worked as a dental assistant and raised her sons.

Glenda loved spending time in the outdoors fishing, camping, hiking, gardening and playing sports. She also loved spending time with her family, photography, singing, cooking and sewing.

Her sister, Colleen, preceded her in death. [Colleen Porter is also buried in this cemetery.]

Survivors include her fiance, Nick Nasshahn of Gresham; mother and stepfather, Gertti and Darwin Jenkins of New Plymouth, Idaho; father, Leonard Porter of Gresham; children, Gavin Eisenbarth of Billings, Mont., Kenzie Eisenbarth of Weiser, Idaho, Brenin Carter of Gresham and Kamdin Carter of Gresham; the children's father, Bryan Carter of Sandy; brother, Brian Fowler of Windsor, Colo.; and sister, Dee Pottenger of Harrison, Idaho.
