June was born June 8, 1926, in Salem, Ore., the daughter of John N. Barker and Lula A. Buckmaster Barker. She attended Iola Public Schools and was a graduate of Iola High School, Iola, Kan. She moved to Carthage in 1951, from Iola, remaining in Carthage for the rest of her life. She married Harry Morgan in March of 1944. He preceded her in death in August of 1960. She married Ted Moxley in 1961. He preceded her in death in May of 2005. June loved to work in her flower garden, where she enjoyed caring and watching birds that visited her yard.
Survivors include a son, John Morgan and wife, Connie, Jasper, Mo.; a daughter, Susan Elkins, Golden, Mo.; a daughter, DaVetta Hooper, Springdale, Ark.; a daughter, Kathy Clifton and husband, Rick, Jasper, Mo.; a son Charles Moxley, Lakeside, Mo.; a step-son, Leslie Moxley, Joplin, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Harry Morgan and Ted Moxley and one son, Gerald Morgan, December 2007.
An open visitation was held from 1–5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, in the Knell Mortuary Chapel.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Paradise Cemetery, Jasper, Mo. Chaplain Roger Hasselquist officiated and read the poem "Momma's Hands." Pallbearers were Rick Clifton, Bryan Elkins, Charles Hooper, Eric Mayfield, Chris Merriman, Jonathan Merriman, Charles Moxley and Leslie Moxley.
Services were under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo.
