Mary Webb Earle was the daughter of John Webb and Anna Bassett and the wife of John Earle. She was killed by Indians during King Philip's War. Indians broke through the palisades at the lower end of Pleasant Street in Northampton. They burned nine houses. Killed in addition to Mary Earle were Robert Bartlett, Thomas Holton, Increase Whelstone, and James Mackramels.
