Emily Powell Died Yesterday, Service Thursday

Mrs. Emily Powell, 73 year old resident of 1547 Truman Street, died yesterday at the Lucy Lee Hospital. She had been a resident of this county for seven years.

She was born December 23, 1883 in Wayne County. On April 17, 1901 she was married to Sam Brown and in 1919 to Clem Powell. Both preceded her in death.

The following children survive, Mrs. Lillie Morley of St. Louis, Mrs. Lottie Wagner of Rolla, Mrs. Laura Morrow and Mrs. Pauline Heimes of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Franklin Reed of St. Louis and Robert Reed of White Salmon, Washington and a sister, Mrs. Clara Barlow, Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2 Thursday at the Greer Croy and Fitch Chapel. The Rev. Wilbert Allen will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The body will remain at the Chapel.
