He was deployed with The Light Dragoons Battle Group of the UK contingent of NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Kgn Dunn-Bridgeman died after he was shot in the neck during an exchange of small-arms fire with the enemy while on foot patrol in Babaji district, Helmand province.

Aged 20, from Liverpool, he was an army cadet as a youth. After completing infantry training in May 2008, Kgn Dunn-Bridgeman joined 2 LANCS the "Lions of England" based in Cyprus. He took courses in parachuting and paragliding. He volunteered to deploy early on his first operational tour in Afghanistan and arrived in August 18th. He was a member of a four-man bomb clearance team at the front of each patrol by his platoon. "Dunny" was remembered as a fearless and dedicated soldier with a promising future. He enjoyed outdoor pursuits and was an excellent skier.

He leaves behind his mother Tracey, sister Chelsea, and other family and friends.

Funeral service, with full military honours, was held on September 29, 2009 at Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool.
