James K. Snyder Dies Tuesday In CMC Hospital
James Kellogg Snyder, 85, Winn, died March 5 at Central Michigan Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for 18 days.
He was born in Fremont Township February 14, 1881 where he was a life - long resident. A farmer by occupation, he was a member of the Cedar Valley Masonic Lodge, No. 383 and the Order of Eastern Stars No 377. Tonight at 8 p.m. Masonic Services will be held at the Stinson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10 at p.m. in the Winn Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery. Mr. Snyder will lie in state at the church between 1 and 2 p.m. He is survived by his wife, Hazel; his children Harold of Winn Mrs. Inez Oppenlander of Lansing, Mrs. Wima Slee of Perry. Mrs. Louise Stiffler of Holt; Max of Winn and James of St. Louis; 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Daily Times News March 9,1966 P2 Col 1
