Lillian Maxwell, 80, of Liberty, died Sept. 1, 2009, at Liberty Community Living Center.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Monday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Liberty until services there at 11, with the Rev. Emanuel Powell officiating.
Burial will be in Maxwell and Hamilton Cemetery in Liberty, under the direction of Cook's Enterprise Funeral Home of McComb.
Mrs. Maxwell was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Amite County, to the Rev. A. H. and Lula Holden.
She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Denon Maxwell; and nine siblings, Elijah Holden, Irvin Holden, Vivian Hamilton, Laverne Dillon, Wilma Bates, Gloria Holden, Fannie Holden, George Holden and Jeanette Allen.
Survivors include 13 children, Ollie Maxwell, Marie Williams, Michael Maxwell, Alice Harness and husband Michael, Carl Maxwell and wife Vicki, Pauline Anderson, Janice Williams, Lemoyne Maxwell and wife Angie, all of Houston, Texas, and George Larry Jones, James Edward Maxwell, Frances Maxwell Washington, Money Maxwell and Paul Maxwell, all of Liberty; 41 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; siblings Grover Holden of Cleveland, Ohio, Claver Lee Jackson, Lula Graves and Myrtis Williams, all of Liberty, Mammie Lee Murray of Oxnard, Calif., and Roosevelt Holden of Los Angeles.
