Charles T. Frakes, 68, of Route 23 died Wednesday morning in his residence. He was a retired operator at Pitman-Moore Inc.
He was born April 15, 1921, in Vigo County to Loren Frakes and Clara Norris Frakes. His wife Leora Russell Frakes, died in 1976.
Survivors include one son, Michael of Terre Haute, two sisters, Olive McDonnall and Irene Starkey of Terre Haute; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of Blackhawk Saddle Club.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Funeral Home, with Brother Carson Spivey officiating. Burial is in Watson Cemetery, with United War Veterand Council military rites. Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. today.
