SHREVEPORT, LA - Graveside services for Mrs. Witt, age 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m., September 16, 2009 at Huffines Cemetery in Huffines, TX. George T. Venable will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Funeral Home, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009.
She was born on January 1, 1920, to the late James and Clara Venable. Mrs. Witt passed away September 13, 2009, in Shreveport, LA.
Her late husband, Preston Witt, five brothers, one sister, and one great grandson preceded her in death.
Mrs. Witt is survived by daughters, June Asberry; Mary Griffin and husband, Tom; Wanda Cushing and husband, Hank; Belinda Gardner and husband, John; and Patti Ann Witt; fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and one great-great grand child; one brother, George T. Venable and one sister, Betty Pringle.
She was a devout Christian who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
