MATTOON -- Marsha Marie Wallace, age 64 of Mattoon, IL, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Johns Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL. Funeral services honoring her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Ave., Mattoon, IL 61938, with Rev. Stephanie Johanpeter officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cooks, Mills, IL. Visitation will be today, September 14, 2009 at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home in Mattoon, IL Marsha was born November 17, 1944, in Cooks Mills, IL, the daughter of Raleigh G. and Bessie L. (Wright) Adams. She married, Harold J. Wallace on June 26, 1965 in Coffeyville, IL. He passed away September 17, 2005. Survivors include two sons, Garyll L Wallace and his wife Shelli of Cooks, Mills, IL, Travis L Wallace and his special friend Tera of Mattoon, IL; four brothers, Larry K. Adams and his wife Brenda of Taylorville, IL, Darrell L. Adams and his wife Vera of Mattoon, IL, Roger G. Adams and his wife Hanna of Gaylord, MI and Raleigh Starr Adams and his wife Sherry of Elizabethtown, KY; eight grandchildren, Corey Wallace, Trenton Moody, Brandon Wallace, Trevor Moody, Tucker Kaczmarek, Tabi Kaczmarek, Carlee Wallace and Pierce Wallace; special friend Boogie Kay Bugenhagen of Mattoon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marsha was a retired employee of the Reliable Life Insurance Agency in Effingham, IL and a former employee of Diamond E Packers in Mattoon, IL. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cooks Mills, IL where she served as the church secretary and sang in the choir. Marsha's interests were many and varied. She loved the outdoors, fishing, computer games, gardening in her flower and vegetable garden, canning and motorcycle riding. She was also a very devoted mother and grandmother attending all their activities that she could. Memorials may be made to The Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cooks Mills, IL.
