Arbogast, Albert (Bert)
Albert (Bert) Arbogast went to be with his Lord on August 24, 2009 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. He was born in Ypsilanti on August 22, 1939 to Loree and Grace (Martin) Arbogast. He married Kathryn (Kay) Stas-kievitz April 15, 1972. Kay's three sons adopted Bert as their father. He was employed as a police officer at Eastern Michigan University for 30 years. He was a member of the Michigan National Guard for 6 years.In 1974 Bert moved the family to Whitmore Lake MI where they lived for 23 years. Then they moved to Jackson MI for 10 years. Bert loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing boating snowmobiling, gardening and sitting around a bon fire. He moved to Cape Coral FL in 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Kay; son, David (Nataliya), grandson Zackary of Wolverine Lake MI. Former daughter-in-law Belinda of Wixom MI. Son Ernie (Lorraine), grandchildren Audrey Henry and Gloria of Manchester, MI. Son Fred (Sherie), grandson Travis of Cape Coral, FL. And his special pet Heidi. He is also survived by his siblings, Loree (Ann) of Danville, VA, Sue (Steve) Moss of Ypsilanti, MI, Ron (Barb) of Ypsilanti, MI, and Don of St. Helen, MI. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place. Contributions can be made in Albert's name to: Hope Hospice', 2430 Diplomat Pkwy, Cape Coral, FL 33909.
