Cornelius Miller was born December 1, 1879, at Cascade, Kent County, Michigan, and passed away April 10, 1934, at Edinburg, Ohio, age 54 years, four months and nine days. He was the eighth child of a family of six sons and six daughters born to Benjamin and Fianna Miller. He was the last son of this family, five brothers and a sister preceding him in death.
On January 20, 1909, he was united in marriage to Edna Bond of Ravenna, Ohio. To this union two sons were born. The eldest, Raymond, died in infancy, and Donald lives at the home.
Mr. Miller leaves his wife, Edna; son, Donald; a step son, and two step-daughters; five grand children, five sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends and neighbors to mourn the loss of a kind, loving, and ever thoughtful husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend.
He spent the past 25 years in Edinburg, with the exception of six years in Ravenna and Kent. Although Mr. Miller suffered the loss of his left leg when a young man of 19 years, he never thought of giving up, but worked in furniture factories and bus factory and spent 18 years farming, doing his own work and helping neighbors wherever he could. He was ever ready to go when called to assist.
The funeral was held at his home in Edinburg. Burial was made in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna
