Funeral for Quentin McCay, 88, of Athens will be Friday, June 22, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Graham, Buc Chumbley, Doug Matlock and Hershell Patton officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McCay, who died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital, was born Nov. 8, 1918, in Lawrence County to Archie McCay and Beatrice Blankenship McCay. He was a Church of Christ minister for more than 60 years and most recently was a member of Westview Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Pitt McCay; one son, Robert Quentin McCay, who died in infancy; and four brothers, Wallace, Roy, Price and Oliver McCay.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Craig and husband, Bruce, of Athens; two grandsons, James Craig and Michael Craig, both of Athens; one sister, Willie McKean of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.
