Myrtle R. Grey, age 97, of Kittanning, PA, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, September 12, 2009, at Life Care Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was born September 2, 1912, in Cowanshannock Twp., Armstrong Co., PA to Winfred M. and Hulda (Rearic) Craft. Mrs. Grey was the oldest living member of the Free Methodist Church in Kittanning. She was a former volunteer at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Myrtle took pleasure in reading, and her greatest enjoyment came from her family, especially all her grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth W. Grey, Jr. and wife Ada, and Thomas E. Grey and wife Barbara all of Kittanning; three daughters, Grace Trudgen and husband Dale of Kittanning, Geraldine Schawl and husband Blair of Templeton, and Lorraine Finlan and husband Thomas of Clarion; a son-in-law, Joseph Zambotti, Sr. of Kittanning; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Colwell of Templeton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth W. Grey, Sr. whom she married October 7, 1930 and who died May 5, 1978; a daughter, Martha Zambotti; a granddaughter, Diana Zambotti; a great-grandson, Edwin Schrecengost; two brothers, Owen and Fred Craft; and a sister, Dorothy Flick. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Monday, September 14, 2009, and 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday at the Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA. Additional visitation will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at the Free Methodist Church, 2339 Freeport Road, Kittanning, PA, until the time of funeral service at 11 AM with Rev. Wayne Sawyer officiating and assisted by Rev. Terry Trudgen. Interment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, E. Franklin Twp., Armstrong Co., PA. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Free Methodist Church of Kittanning.
