Christine M. Robertson, 93, of New London died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at the Good Shepherd Home in Ashland.
Christine was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Huron County, the daughter of Cecil (Underhill) and Charles W. Daron. She resided in Ruggles Township, Nova and the New London area most of her life. She attended Ruggles local grade school and graduated from Nova High School in 1934. She was a star basketball player in high school. The pink carnation was her favorite flower.
Christine is survived by her children, Thomas and Susan Robertson of Salem, Ore., and Larry and Char Robertson of rural Ashland; grandchildren, Kristin (Cameron) Ayers and Alex (Robin) Robertson of Oregon, Shawn (Caroline) Robertson and Stacy Patton of Ashland; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband, Raymond, in 1995; her brothers, Lynn Daron in 1991 and Wayne Daron in 2000; and sister, Geraldine A. Sayles, in 2008.
