Charles Motley Hazen was a carpenter and furniture maker. His 1950 obituary reads: CHARLES MOTLEY HAZEN, 90, CITY DEVELOPER, DIES: Charles Motley Hazen, 90, developer of the Hazen subdivision on 31st Avenue North, died at 9:25 p.m. yesterday at his home, 1606 30th Avenue North. Mr. Hazen retired in 1920 as a carpenter in Beverly, Mass. and moved to St. Petersburg in 1921. He was a member of the Townsend Club. The Palms Memorial will announce arrangements.
His children are Helena Hazen, Marguerite Hazen, and John Franklin Hazen.
