Amelia Elizabeth was the oldest of two children born to David Pittman and his second wife Mary (Young) . Elizabeth was born 1838 in Harrison County, Indiana. She married William Henry Fravel in 1858 in Harrison County.

Six children were born to this marriage before Elizabeth divorced William in 1869.

Ida Alice, born 1859 Indiana, married Theodore H Carroll, died 1945 in York County, Nebraska.
Cora June (Jenny), born 1861 Indiana, married Edward A Kennard abt 1878.
Charles Wesley, born 1862 Indiana, married Lorena Bowman 1883.
George B McClellan (Mack), born 1864 Indiana, married Maud McAlvey 1906.
John Henry, born 1866, died 1941 Oakland, California.
Louis David, born 1868.

Elizabeth never remarried after her divorce from William and apparently alternated between living with daughters Ida Carroll and Jenny Kennard until her death in 1929. She is reportedly buried in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Saunders, Nebraska. William Henry Fravel died in 1925 and is buried in Oaktown Cemetery, Oaktown, Knox County, Indiana.

OLD ASHLAND RESIDENT BURIED HERE FRIDAY
The body of Mrs Elizabeth Fravil was brought to Ashland for burial Friday, June 21. She passed away at the home of her daughter at Albert Lea, Minn, Mrs Fravil formerly lived in this city and had many friends here. She was 91 years of age at the time of her death.
Elizabeth Pittman was born in Carden (should read Corydon) Ind, Oct 10th 1838. On Sept 4th, 1858, she was married to William Fravil, to which union were born six children, two sisters and four sons, all of whom are still living.
The early part of her life was spent in Indiana, while the latter part was passed in Nebraska, the last years of her life having been spent at the homes of her daughters. At the time of her death she was living with her daughter, Mrs Jennie Kennard of Albert Lea, Minn., where she had been failing in health for several years, although bedfast only three weeks.
Mrs. Fravil leaves to mourn her departure, six children, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty -nine great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
Those present at the Ashland Cemetery, where the body was committed to its final resting place by Rev. Leo L. Duerson, Friday evening, were Mrs and Mrs T.H. Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. T.O. Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Hohnbaum, Mrs. A.J. Hohnbaum, Mrs. and Mrs. Wallelnden, Mr, and Mrs. L. D. Fravil, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lyle and daughter Delta, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Pittman, all of York, Nebr. Mrs. G. W. Willets of Albert Lea, Minn, and Mrs. and Mrs. Harvey Kennard of Minneapolis, Minn.
