LAURIN ROBERTS WARE
Laurin Roberts Ware, 85, of Route 2, Box 127, Ocean Springs, in the Vancleave Community, died Sunday at Plaza Nursing Home in Pascagoula.
The lifelong resident of Vancleave was a retired boilermaker supervisor at Ingalls Shipbuilding and an Army veteran of World War I.
He was past master and 50-year member of the Ezell Masonic Lodge No. 426 in Vancleave and the Scottish Rites. He was also a past member of Jackson County School Board, a trustee of the New Prospect Campground and a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Alyce Grove Ware in 1973, and a son Laurin Wayne Ware in 1959, his remaining survivors include another son, Florian G. Ware of Vancleave; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Walker and Mrs. W.T. Avara Jr.; a brother, Phillip L. Ware, all of Pascagoula; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held tonight from 6 until 9 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Vancleave, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Masonic and Military grave-side rites.
