Wife of A. Mason.

Mrs. Bettie Mason, wife of A. Mason, died at the family home at Irene Sunday, February 12th, at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Mason was a native of North Carolina. She was born there September 13, 1845, came to Texas at the age of 11 years. She was married in 1870 and had lived in and around Irene since coming to Texas.

There are seven children living, five boys and two girls. These all live in the hearts of the people in and around Irene, as did their parents before them.

Mrs. Bettie Mason obeyed the gospel of God in 1905 and has lived a devoted life of faith and duty, being one of the most worthy members of the Church of Christ in that community.

She has been in poor health for two years or more. Many were the friends who gave their presence and brought flowers and sympathy.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence of her daughter, with whom she was living.

We feel that a great soul has gone on, but she left behind a great family of children. To know them is to love them.
