Major League Baseball Player. He was a catcher for three teams in seven years in the major leagues. Thomas Francis Padden broke in with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1932, playing with them for six years through 1937. He also played with the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Senators in 1943. During his career he batted a modest .272 with two home runs and 110 runs batted in. His best season was 1934 when he batted .321.
