E. J. Stricker Of Millett Passes Away

Funeral services for Edward J. Stricker of Millett, who passed away Friday afternoon, June 15 at 3:27 in the Myers Hospital at Cotulla following a long illness, were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Millett at the Assembly of God Church. Interment was at 5 p.m. in the San Jose Cemetery in San Antonio.

Mr. Stricker, who was born August 23, 1886 in San Antonio, was 64 years, 9 months and 17 days of age at the time of his death. He had lived in La Salle County since 1932.

He was married to Miss Anna M. Lahrmann on Sept. 4, 1909 in San Antonio. To this union seven children were born, one having preceded his father in death at the age of 3.

Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Long of Terrell Wells; five sons, A. J. and Fred Stricker of Bandera, William Stricker of Devine; Roy Stricker of Natalia and Lee Stricker of Millett; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Voight and Mrs. Ida Bauers and one brother, Charlie Stricker all of San Antonio; and 16 grand children.

FATHER OF A. J. STRICKER DIED FRIDAY

Our sincere sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Stricker and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stricker and their families in the passing of their father, E. J. Stricker, age 64 years, of Millet, Texas.

Mr. Stricker had been a farmer at Millet for many years. Funeral services were held in San Antonio last Saturday where interment was also made.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, Bill Stricker, Devine; Roy Stricker, Natalia; Lee Stricker, Millet; A. J. and Fred Stricker, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. C. A. Long of Terrell Wells.
