Anna Prudence Brewer was born the daughter of James Sanford Brewer and Elizabeth Jane Carpenter. They are buried in Walker, Iowa. Anna was married to Levi Perry Bailey on December 31, 1886 in Buchanan County, Iowa. He was son of Charles Gideon Bailey and Elizabeth Williams who are buried in Agra, Kansas. Levi was born February 26, 1860 near Troy Mills, Buchanan county, Iowa. Levi moved to Prior Lake, Minnesota and worked for the railroad and died June 18, 1948 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Levi and Ann were parents of: David Williams Bailey born February 20, 1882 married Carolyn McKercher maybe be buried in Olympia, Washington; Grace B_____ (Bailey) born August 2, 1885 married Edward R. Motz died December 13, 1927 may be buried St. Paul, Minnesota; Eleanor Isabel Bailey born September 22, 1894 and died April 25, 1895 buried this cemetery beside her mother without a stone. Prudence Ann Brewer died of a cerebral hemorrage and sclerosis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Bailey, 74, who died Sunday following an illness of fifteen months, were held at the Christian Church in Troy Mills Wednesday. The services were in charge of the Rev. Gordon Smith, of Clarence, Iowa. Burial was made in the Hoover cemetery. Several sacred selections were sang by Mrs. Lois McKee and Mrs. Ethel Schantz accompanied by Mrs. Stewart Keller at the piano. Pall bearers were Forrest Cherry, Emmett Shaffer, Mark Baty, William Dudley and Harold Shaffer, all of Troy Mills, and Carl Mahoney of Stanley, Iowa. Surviving besides her husband, Levi Bailey, is one son, David, of Olympia, Washington. Also surviving are one sister, Miss Belle Brewer of Walker, and two brothers, James Brewer of Alden, Minnesota and John Brewer of Superior, Wisconsin. Also two granddaughters, Eleanor and Lois Motz of St. Paul, Minnesota. Those attending the funeral from a distance were: James Brewer of Alden, Minnesota, John Brewer of Superior, Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Motz and daughters of st. Paul, Minnesota, Mrs. Daniel Mahoney and Carl Mahoney.

~0bit~Anna Brewer, daughter of James S. and Eliza Brewer, was born in the family home in Newton township, Buchanan County, Iowa, on May 6, 1861 and died December 8, 1935, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 2 days. She was one of the family of eight children, three of whom survive. On December 31, 1880, she was married to Levi Perry Bailey by the Rev. Milton McKee. In 1887 they moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, where Mr. Bailey was a railroad engineer. To them were born three children, David of of Olympia, Washington, Grace Motz, who died in 1927 and Eleanor, who died in infancy. Over a year ago, Mrs. Bailey's health failed and in August 1934, she came and made her home with her sister, Miss Belle Brewer, at Walker, who cared for her until she died last Sunday. She was a member of the First Christian Church of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was also a member of 0.E.S. and was active in various club activities most of her life.
