Johnny Edwin Shipley, 81, of Sale Creek, TN passed away, Friday, September 11, 2009.

He retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education as a School Bus Driver for the Sale Creek area after thirty-seven years of service. Johnny was a former member of the Sale Creek Lion's Club and he attended Sale Creek Independent Presbyterian Church.

He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He has been and avid livestock farmer dealing mostly with cattle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Blanche Shipley and three brothers, Roy Shipley, Jr., Clifton Shipley and Willard Shipley.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Glenna Shipley; son, Greg Shipley; grandchildren, Amber & Zachary Shipley and his mother-in-law, Rosalie Roark.

The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2009, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Evaul officiating.

Burial will follow in Welsh-Rogers Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation is 4:00 TO 9:00 Saturday at the funeral home.
