Brian Robert Dawson, 38, of the Plantsville section of Southington, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2009 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Darlene (Banville) Dawson.
Born September 14, 1970, in Binghamton, NY, the son of Sue Orzech and husband Ted of Farmington and John Dawson and wife Maureen of Portland, OR.
Brian grew up in Endwell, NY moving to Southington in 1987.
He attended the University of CT and graduated from Central CT State University in 1993 with a Bachelor's degree. He was a manager at ING for 15 years.
Besides his parents and wife of almost 15 years he is survived by a daughter Ashley; two brothers Mark Dawson and girlfriend Corrine Testa and Craig Dawson all of Southington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jean-Claude and Thelma Banville of Southington and a brother-in-law Michael Banville of Southington. He also leaves many relatives and friends. Brian's family would like to thank the Intensive Care Unit at Yale for all the special care they gave to Brian for the last 4 months.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd. Southington for a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow Oak Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to; Office of Development, Yale New Haven Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508-9979.
