Larry was a man of many diverse
abilities and interests. Those
who did not know him personally,
are drawn to the charming verse
carved upon his tombstone.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

"AND DANCE BENEATH
A DIAMOND SKY
WITH ONE HAND WAVING FREE"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What a marvelous fellow this
man must have been!
He was a scientist -
and must have enjoyed Bob Dylan,
as these words are a lyric
from his song: 'TAMBORINE MAN.'

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

June 30th, 1999 Foreman received
the EDWARD TELLER MEDAL,
sponsored by
AMERICAN NUCLEAR SOCIETY!
Teller himself, phoned in to
the presentation ceremony to
wish the honoree well.
Foreman was the first
Los Alamos scientist to
receive this award.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Following his demise,
The 'LARRY FOREMAN AWARD'
was established.
The award was created by the
"Inertial Confinement
Fusion Community (ICF)"
as a memorial to Larry.

Foreman led the
LOS ALAMOS NATIONAL LABORATORY
(LANL) ICF TARGET FABRICATION
effort for many years.
The special honor has been set
up to recognize someone in the
INERTIAL FUSION TARGET
FABRICAATION Division
who shows dedication
to quality and
innovation in technique.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Foreman died in the
prime of his life and
at the peak of his career.

(GOD must have had even
MORE IMPORTANT plans for him!)
