Monte graduated Centralvue High School near Russell, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
On November 25, 1982, Monte and Kelly Jean Campbell were united in marriage at the Presbyterian Church in Mangum, Oklahoma.
Monte had lived in the Merritt community since 1982 moving there from Pampa, Texas. He worked as a well completion Technician with Express Energy on a well site near Canadian, Texas.
Monte's most enjoyable moments was spending time with his family and friends; especially his kids and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Bill, Pete, and Rudy Ford.
He is survived by his loving wife Kelly Jean Ford of Elk City, Oklahoma; two children Tami Hall and husband Danny of Yukon, Oklahoma, Billy Dale Ford of the home in Merritt, Oklahoma; one brother Duane Ford of New Mexico; two sisters Jane Hilley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Laura Goss and husband Clint of Seminole, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandkids; Colton Hall, Caitlin Hall and Taylor Ford; his father-in-law and
mother-in-law; Bill and Christene Campbell of Granite, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services for Monte Dale Ford are scheduled for Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Merritt Gymnasium at Merritt, Oklahoma with Rev. Darrell Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Cemetery Duke, Oklahoma, under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
The family of Monte Dale Ford will receive friends on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 6pm to 8pm at Greer Funeral Home.
