Mr. Scott A. Lynch Sr. 44, currently of Oakville formerly of Wolcott died peacefully on Monday July 20, 2009.

Born in Bristol on January 16, 1965, Scott was the son of Harold F. and Doris (Duchesneau) Lynch of Oakville. He graduated from Wolcott High School class of 1981. He was an ironworker for over 25 years most recently with the Structural Steel Co. in Wolcott. Scott was active in coaching and volunteering in several sports leagues especially Pop Warner Football and the BAW Little League. He was a loyal supporter and fan of Wolcott High School Football and loved to watch his sons Sean, Steve and Scott play. Scott always strived to instill family values and respect with his children. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to cook especially at pig roasts for his friends and family.

Besides his loving and supportive parents, he leaves his wife Sherri (Downey) Lynch, four sons, John Smith, Scott Lynch Jr., Steven Lynch and Sean Lynch all of Wolcott, two daughters Katie and her husband John Rosario of Bristol and Samantha Lynch, the light of his life, of Wolcott, two sisters Kellee Lynch of Oakville and Tarra Dean of Granby, three grandchildren Brett, Madison and Victoria, with a fourth, Gianni due to arrive any day, his goddaughter Stephanee and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church 74 West Main St. Waterbury on Thursday for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott.
